Human trafficking gang running courier company in disguise arrested

LAHORE: Four human traffickers running courier company in disguise were arrested on Saturday. The suspects used fake letters of banned outfits, First Information Reports (FIR) to help people travel to different countries by sea.


Sources stated that Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) received information of an active gang involved in human trafficking in a much-organised manner.

FIA conducted a raid on the courier company’s office and arrested four members of the gang along with dozens of passports, ID cards, fake visas and other illegal possessions.

The sources also revealed that suspects used to send people abroad illegally through waters and were involved in the deliverance of fake and banned documents to other countries.

In the wake of the presence of other gang members, FIA had widened investigation span to other cities.
