Hussain Asghar to be appointed chairman anti-corruption commission: sources

ISLAMABAD: Ex-police officer Hussain Asghar expected to be made the chairman of the anti-corruption commission earlier announced by Prime Minister Imran Khan, sources informed on Tuesday.


The Premier had earlier announced to constitute a “high-powered commission” to probe corruption of the last 10 years in Pakistan.

The commission will be constituted soon to probe corruption, said the sources.

Asghar currently is serving as the Deputy Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Asghar also served as Director anti-corruption establishment Punjab and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) as a police officer.
