LAHORE: Inspector General of Police Amjad Javed Saleemi has been dismissed from his post, an official notification issued by the Punjab Government confirmed on Monday.
The notification revealed Arif Nawaz Khan to be the replacement of Saleemi as ex-IG has been asked to report to the Establishment division.
Appointed on October 9, 2018, Saleemi previously served as chief of Sindh police and joined the civil services on November 1, 1986.
Saleemi have domicile of Faisalabad and his common division is 14th.
Earlier Saleemi has served as IG National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) as grade 22 officer.
His retirement is due on January 31, 2020.
