IHC dismisses Election Commission’s verdict against Farooq Sattar’s party convenership

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court has dismissed Election Commission of Pakistan verdict against Muttahida Qaumi Movement(Pakistan) leader Farooq Sattar, NewsOne reported.


According to the details,on Monday a five-member bench of the ECP, headed by Chief Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan, had given the order in a case pertaining to the intra-party dispute, stating that Farooq could not lead party as a convener.

Today, Farooq’s Counsel Babar Sattar presented his arguments in front of the IHC, seeking the court to dismiss ECP verdict, which the court acceded , set aside the verdict and issued notices to the respondents to submit their responses on this matter.
