KARACHI: K-Electric on Friday appointed Ikram Sehgal as its new chairman.
The KE spokesperson relayed that the appointment was made by the companys board of directors. The Pakistan Stock Exchange has been informed about this change.
“Mr Muhammad Tayyab Tareen has ceased to be the chairman of the company with effect from January 18, 2019 and Mr Ikram Sehgal has been appointed as chairman of the company in his place,” reads the notification.
With more than 40 years of business experience, Ikram Sehgal is Chairman Pathfinder Group Pakistan, employing several thousand people in 50 towns and cities across Pakistan.
While serving in the Pakistan Army, Ikram Sehgal was the first Pakistani PW in history to escape from an Indian PW Camp. He holds a Commercial Pilot License and later started his own business in 1977.
