‘I’m an ordinary citizen, Nawaz is royalty’: Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s chairman Imran Khan said that Nawaz Sharif acts like a royal and he otherwise face cases like an ordinary citizen.


He was responding to a a question posed by the reporter, asking that why he came inside the judicial complex on foot whereas, Nawaz uses his vehiclewhen he comes to the court to appear in corruption cases.

Imran Khan appeared before the Anti Terrorism Court case related to the injuries caused to the then-Islamabad SSP operations Asmatullah Junejo, in 2014 sit-in.
However, the PTI chief filed two requests in court, one pleading his release and the other an exemption from appearance in court. The court ordered copies of both requests to be provided to the prosecution.

Imran’s counsel also requested a decision to be made on the acquittal before he is indicted in the case.

The Court adjourned the hearing till 26 February, 2018.
