Imran Khan announces to contest 2018 election from Karachi

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday has announced to contest the 2018 general elections from Karachi as well.


“Will contest general election from Karachi too,” Khan said while addressing party workers at Gulistan-e-Jauhar on Sunday.

Khan vowed to make Karachi again ‘city of lights’, adding that politics of metropolis revolves around creation of conflicts.

Earlier the announcement was also made by PTI’s Secretary Information Fawad Chaudhry.

PTI chief has arrived in Karachi for a two-day visit to oversee the party’s membership campaign.

The PTI chairman will pay visits to numerous party camps in the metropolis staged at PIB Colony, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Liaquatabad and Naval Colony.

Later in a day Pakistan PTI chief Imran Khan on Sunday has vowed to make Pakistan International Airline the world best Airline, adding that PTI will restructure PIA if they would come in govt.

“The state-owned enterprises are national assets, will make PIA the best airline, he  said  while briefly addressing a small gathering of employees of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) outside Jinnah International Airport.

He further said that Steel mills of sharif’s are earning profit on the other hand the country owned steel mill is going through its worst time, adding that there is no need for privatisation if the institutions function with integrity.

“Corruption the reson behind downfall of Pakistan steel mill.” Khan said.
