Imran should promote ideological candidates, rather than ATMs: Bilawal Bhutto

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto on Sunday said that PTI chief Imran Khan should promote ideological candidates rather than promoting ATMs.

Addressing a news conference, Bilawal said PPP has several reasons for clinching Senate seats, adding” Imran’s absence from voting process was the main reason behind his party MPAs uncertainty.

Bilawal has challenged Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) to bring his chairman senate. He said that MQM should resolve its internal rifts first before blaming PPP.

The PPP chairman termed Senate elections as free and fair election, adding PPP is in contact with opposition parties in order to bring their candidate for Senate chairman.

The major political parties Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) and PPP have doubled their efforts to establish the deliberated alliance for the seat of Senate chairman and deputy chairman.

The ruling party PML-N has total of 48 seats in the upper house including its allies, while PPP has total 40 seats.
