Indian provocation on LOC condemnable, says FO

ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal said on Tuesday said recent Indian provocation on the Line of Control (LOC) was condemnable to which Pakistan responded befittingly as there were news of seven deaths and 19 injuries from Indian side as well.


According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), India on Tuesday resorted to unprovoked firing at Rakh Chakri area of the Rawalkot sector due to which three Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom and one was injured.

In the continuing wave of ceasefire violation by India within last 48 to 72 hours, an 18-year old boy embraced martyrdom while three women were injured. They have been shifted to nearest hospital for medical attention, said ISPR.

The martyred soldiers, Subedar Muhammad Riaz from Jhang, Lance Havaldar Azizullah from Noshero Feroz and Sepoy Shahid Mansib from Abbottabad were buried with military honor.
