Justice served after 20 years, as SC releases woman, others in ‘Triple murder’ case

KARACHI: Supreme Court of Pakistan has released Asma Nawab, Muhammad Farhan Khan and Javed Ahmed Siddiqu pertaining to the murder of her father and two brothers.


Asma was sentenced on allegedly orchestrating the murder of her father who reportedly refused the wish of the former to let her marry her beloved in 1998.

As Today, Justice Asif Saeed Khosa hearing the case at Karachi’s Registry of Supreme court ordered the release of the aforementioned individuals who had appealed against their respective sentences in the apex court, adding that there was no concrete evidence against the suspects, and the evidence presented before the court had several loopholes.

The court also ruled that the prosecution failed to prove its allegations.
