ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in National Assembly Khursheed Shah slammed Punjab’s Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif over his press conference amid cheers and congratulatory messages while officially announcing that Zainab’s killer was arrested.

On Tuesday, Shehbaz Sharif announced, that Punjab’s government arrested the main suspect named Mohammad Imran involved in raping, murder of a 7 years old minor Zainab.

Khursheed Shah said that the government must be ashamed of the act; adding that no one in the world congratulates when they nab any culprit involved in sexual assault.

“You should be ashamed of clapping after apprehending the culprit,” he said.

He suggested that a resolution should be introduced in the assembly to condemn the Punjab government’s action, adding that Shehbaz’s actions have hurt the nation’s sentiments and he should apologize.

The opposition leader on Tuesday said the cheering was a “slap in the faces” of Kasur’s 250 children and the 12 minor girls who were sexually abused.
