LG Polls: Khan visits Sialkot to boost PTI campaign

SIALKOT: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday visited Silakot to boost his party’s campaign ahead of the final phase of local government election.

Addressing a rally, Khan said the ruling party which considers the Sialkot as its stronghold is not able to gather as many people as the PTI has done.

“But, they somehow manage to win election, how could it be possible without irregularities and rigging,” Khan wondered. “What we can do is to make efforts, rest is in the hands of Allah,” the PTI chairman said.

Imran said the people of Sialkot has built an airport and other infrastructure in the city on their own, claiming that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government has done nothing for the locals.

“Our talented youth is leaving country while corrupt lot is on the helm of affairs,” PTI chief said, lamenting that Pakistan’s prevailing system does not let merit take its course.

“The country whose leader is facing cases could not prosper,” Imran added, vowing that he would not leave the people alone and will fight the criminals.
