LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Friday dismissed the plea seeking the court to disqualify chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilwala Bhutto Zardari and co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Newsone reported.
Iqbal Haider filed the petition for their disqualification. The petition read that PPP’s Bilawal has used Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarian electoral symbol (arrow) in his party’s manifesto which is against the election act sub-clause 3 of section 215.
On the other hand, PPPP’s leader Zardari is using Pakistan People’s Party flag which is against the election act sub-clause 2 of section 200.
The petitioner claimed that no political party is allowed to use other political party’s symbol or flag and requested the court to disqualify both of them.
The LHC, however, heard the appeal and overruled it.
