LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s chairman Imran Khan lambasted Pakistan Muslim League’s(Nawaz) recent decision for making former prime minster Nawaz Sharif as the leader (Quaid) for lifetime.
He alleged that a man who has looted 300 billion rupees, an apparent reference to Nawaz was awarded the life time leadership of PML(N).
On Tuesday, the PML(N) unanimously named Nawaz as their leader for lifetime, whereas his brother chief minister of Punjab Shehbaz Sharif was elected as the acting president of the party.
Imran also condemned the resolution passed by the Punjab Assembly against National Accountability Bureau tabled by provincial law minister Rana Sanaullah.
Unsurprisingly, Imran also sided with disgruntled PML(N) stalwart Chaudhry Nisar, who was not even invited in party’s central working committee meeting amid reports of differences with Nawaz.
He appreciated the efforts of Chaudhry Nisar for showing courage against accepting Maryam Nawaz as the leader of PML(N).
