LAHORE: Special Assistant to PM (SAPM) on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Aashiq Awan said on Monday she believes media to be the fourth pillar of democracy and the Prime Minister Imran Khan consider media to be his power.
Speaking to media, Dr Awan said media is not heirless and in the formation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government media played a key part. She vowed to resolve the problems of the journalists under the leadership of PM and advised the media to help correct the mistakes of the government.
Awan said an impression was developed that the PTI government wanted a quarrel with the media. She said the PM and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar are on the same page and the Assembly members showed trust on Buzdar.
