“Minor punishment for standing against Invisible forces”, says Maryam Nawaz

London: Maryam Nawaz on Friday said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was handed imprisonment sentence for “standing up to hidden powers”, Newsone reported.

“Well done Nawaz Sharif! You weren’t afraid, You preferred Pakistan over your life. People are with you. The nation is standing with you. You will emerge victorious,” she twitted.

She further said that God made the decisions not the conspirators.

The Accountability Court on Friday announced the verdict in Avenfield reference against the disgraced prime minister Nawaz Sharif  who is convicted over money laundering and has been served 10 years sentence in Avenfield reference.

Furthermore, Maryam Nawaz is sentenced for 7 years of imprisonment over submitting forged documents before the Supreme Court led Joint Investigation Team.

Captain(R) Safdar is sentenced for one year. Moreover, Nawaz was fined £8 million and Maryam £2 million.

Avenfield Refernce was  one of the corruption references filed against Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Hussain Nawaz and Hassan Nawaz on the orders of Supreme Court of Pakistan, last year.
