MMA will form govt in KPK in 2018 elections, claims Sirajul Haq

PESHAWAR: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Sirajul Haq on Sunday has claimed that Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) will sweep and form government in Khyber-PakhtunKhwa (KPK).


“MMA will form its government in KPK without any alliance,” said Siraj while addressing media in Peshawar.

He was of the view that MMA is the substitute political platform which is differ from other political parties.

Siraj vowed that MMA will hold massive rally at Minar-e-Pakistan on May 13.

Commenting over Peshawar Metro bus, JI chief said that lack of planning by KP government has turned the city of flowers into wreck.

“People of Peshawar are facing complexity due to the Metro-bus project, We want completion of project on time,” he added.

Pervez Khattak’s plans of launching the Peshawar Metro Bus during his tenure seems to be hanging in the balance after three more officials resigned after the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chief minister fired the chief executive officer last month.

On Thursday,  Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) finally parted ways with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) led Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government on a friendly note.

JI leaders and provincial chief minister Pervaiz Khattak announced the decision in a joint press conference.
