KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Sunday has strongly opposed privatization of the Pakistan International Airlines, announcing its support for the protesting employees of the national flag carrier.
Senior leaders of the MQM including Farooq Sattar met protesting employees and assured them that the party would not let their sacrifices go to waste.
Addressing the protesters, Dr Farooq Sattar said the rulers were not aware about the difference between privatization and destruction. “PIA is nobody’s personal property, we will present your demands to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar,” Sattar said.
MQM leader also demanded for immediate recovery of missing employees.
