Muharram security, Ghutka ban discussed in Sindh Cabinet meeting

KARACHI: A Sindh Cabinet meeting presided by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah is underway.


During the meeting security arrangements for Muharram came under discussion, sources said.

The Sindh Police IG said that extra ordinary arrangements had been set up for Muharram.

Security of the Sindh Balochistan border had also been beefed up, the Police IG said, according to sources.

He added that the CCTV systems in the city had improved and that the Rangers and Police were working in collaboration.

During the meeting the CM imposed a ban on Ghutka and betel nut.

The CM added that people who smoke in public places will be punished.
