ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has written letter to interior ministry seeking placement of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Captain(R) Safdar in Exit Control List, newsone reported.
NAB dispatched two letters to the ministry, one asking for Nawaz Sharif to be placed on ECL citing him being an accused in the Azizia Mills reference, Flagship reference and Avenfield properties reference.
In the second letter, it requested to place Maryam Nawaz Sharif and her husband Captain (retired) Safdar to on the ECL as both are accused in the Avenfield properties reference.
Earlier today NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal has given the approval to file supplementary references in the Al-Azizia and Flagship Investments Limited references, sources informed on Wednesday.
Nawaz Sharif, his sons Hasan and Hussain are accused in the two references.
NAB will file both the supplementary references in the accountability court soon.
Sources have informed that new evidence, including details of offshore companies of Hasan and Hussain, are part of the supplementary references.
On other hand one more supplementary reference against the former relieved finance miniser Ishaq Dar has been filed.
Ishaq Dar, who is in London based on medical grounds is facing corruption charges for possessing wealth more than his declared income.
The Accountability court adjourned the hearing in Ishaq Dar’s case uptil February 23, 2018.
