ISLAMABAD: The executive board of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday has approved investigations into alleged wrong doings by famous politicians and other officials, NewsOne reported.
In a meeting presided over by NAB chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal, executive board of NAB approved the filing of three supplementary references against ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
According to a notification issued by NAB, the executive board gave approval to the supplementary references pertain to Azizia Steel Mills and Hill Metals Establishment, the (Avenfield) properties and Flagship Investment Ltd.
The board also directed to launch investigation against former finance minister Ishaq Dar, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak and CM Punjab Shehbaz Sharif.
The anti-graft body also approved inquiry in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
The NAB’s executive board also approved to initiate investigation against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan for misusing government helicopters in the province.
