NAB summons newly appointed US ambassador Ali Jahangir Siddiqui in graft investigation

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Friday has summoned Ali Jahangir Siddiqui, the newly appointed ambassador to the United States  for a probe into an corruption allegation on March 22, NewsOne reported.


According to NAB,  newly appointed envoy has been accused of causing losses worth Rs 40 billion to various financial and government institutions and will be investigated by  NAB officials during his appearance before NAB.

Ali  is serving PM Abbasi as a special assistant, advising the prime minister on economic and business matters.

In 2014, he was honored as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
