Rao anwar was deposed from his post as he was allegedly involved in a fake encounter’ of Naqeebullah Mehsood.

Naqeebullah Mehsood was picked by the police that came to him in plain clothes and subsequently killed him

The police which was headed by ‘encounter specialist’ Rao Anwar’ alleged Naqeebullah as a proscribed terrorist belonging from Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.

Following an outrage on social media against Naqeebullah’s murder, an inquiry committee was set up by IG Sindh comprising of senior policemen to inquire the claims made by Rao Anwar asserting that Naqeebullah was a terrorist, who was killed following open fire on the Police team when they came to arrest him.
