ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif once again lambasted judiciary against the verdict which deposed him from his premiership.
Talking outside the Accountability Court, Nawaz said that the people of Pakistan are not heard of cattle that could be guided to different way.
Lamenting on the recent verdict of by Supreme Court of Pakistan in Election Act 2017 verdict, which nullified the appointments made by then president of PML(N) and hence making nomination of candidates to contest Senate elections on PML(N) ticket void, Nawaz said lawmakers had difficulty recognizing PML-N candidates since they were contesting as independent candidates.
“They can’t erase us by snatching our electoral symbol” adding that the “People of Pakistan elect their prime ministers but 4 to 5 people oust him”, an apparent reference to Supreme Court verdict in Panama Papers which ousted three times premier Nawaz Sharif on July 28, 2017.
He added that now People of Pakistan wants the respect of their vote.
