Nawaz appears before the accountability Court in corruption hearing

ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif appeared in front of accountability court, facing corruption charges filed by National Accountability Bureau(NAB) on the orders of Supreme Court in famous Panama verdict.


He is facing references in Al Azezia steel mill offshore companies including Flagship Investment Ltd, and London’s Avenfield properties.

Accountability Court-I Judge Mohammad Bashir is conducting the trial.

He was accompanied by his daughter Maryam Nawaz, son in law Captain(R) Safdar.

Talking to press, Nawaz Sharif claimed that the witnesses have recorded to have said, that they have not prepared the documents, also adding that they even recorded of finding no irregularities in the documents against Nawaz Sharif.

He lamented that these witnesses statement don’t get lime light in newspapers and electronic media, which favors Nawaz Sharif.

The hearing is adjourned till up till 16 January, 2018
