Nawaz, Fazl talks over “troubled economy, rising inflation”

Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Tuesday met with ex-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at Jati Umra to ask the latter about his health and talk about political situation of the country.

Talking to media after the meeting, the JUI-F Chief said he will meet with former president Asif Ali Zardari in coming days as he is of opinion that “internal connections [among opposition parties] should remain intact”.

Rahman said,”the agenda of the meeting was limited to inquiring about his [Nawaz Sharif’s] health, but we also discussed our shared concerns about rising inflation, which is affecting the common man, and the troubled economy.”

Dubbing the Prime Minister Imran Khan as “fake and khala’i [extra-terrestrial]” ruler, Rahman illustrated the current government as “installed” one. The ruling government has no comprehension of Pakistan’s ideology, the real circumstances of the country and economy, he said.

Rahman retreated that JUI-F has done “10 million marches against the government” and is ready for a “decisive”  one.

On the other hand, the Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry responded to the meeting on twitter and called on judiciary to take notice of the meeting.

“The Supreme Court had been informed that Nawaz Sharif was ill at a extant that it would be life threatening if he is denied bail. Lied, as always. And now instead of an ambulance, Fazalur Rehman has reached there and is providing political oxygen to Mian Nawaz Sharif. Courts should take a notice of it,” he said in the tweet.
