Nawaz Sharif shifted back to Adiala jail from PIMS as health stablises

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and former Prime Minister Nawaz Shairf is shifted back to Adiala jail from (PIMS)Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences as medical doctors declared Nawaz’s health satisfactory.

According to details, Nawaz was shifted to jail under the strict security measures. He was shifted from Adiala as per his own wish.

Earlier today, Doctors at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) said that former premier Nawaz Sharif’s health is improving.

On Sunday, the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) from Adila jail after the doctors advised to shift former PM to a coronary care unit (CCU) immediately following deterioration in his health.

The team of doctors, conducted a check-up of ex-premier after he complained of chest pain and advised that he be shifted to a hospital immediately.

The head of the five-member medical team that examined former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in Adiala Jail suffered a heart attack Sunday night.

Dr Ejaz Qadeer of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), who conducted Nawaz’s medical checkup in the prison, was hospitalised last night after he suffered a heart attack. He is currently under treatment at the hospital’s Cardiac Centre, sources within PIMS said.

The sources informed that Dr Qadeer is a blood pressure patient and has suffered a heart attack before. He already has two stents in his heart from a previous surgery, they added.

It is pertinent to mention that Nawaz Sharif was handed a 10-year jail term on July 6 by an anti-corruption court in Pakistan, while his daughter Maryam Nawaz was sentenced to seven years in prison in Avenfield apartments case.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and possible prime minister of Pakistan Imran Khan prayed for the quick recovery of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
