ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif once again leashed upon his main political adversary Imran Khan, saying in a direct reference that those who ought to be punished are being acquitted, however he is being punished after serving the nation.
Talking to media after appearing before the Accountability Court in his Avenfield Corruption Reference, Nawaz took a straight jibe over Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan, as today he was released by the Anti-Terrorism Court from the charges of terrorism in Asmat Junejo violence case.
“It is a strange situation, those who built motorways and generated electricity have been disqualified,” Nawaz lamented.
He further continued, “The nation will decide in the upcoming general elections who should be disqualified and who is corrupt.”

Commenting on Imran’s remark that elections can be postponed for a month depending upon the finalization of the delimitation process by the Election Commission of Pakistan, three times ousted Premier said that a minute of delay will not be tolerated.
“Imran saw that people did not turn out at his Lahore’s Jalsa, he did not get a positive response and realised the nation will not vote for him,” he asserted the reason that Imran made a statement pertaining to the delay in upcoming elections
