Nehal Hashmi released after a month imprisonment in ‘Contempt case’

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League’s(Nawaz) stalwart and ex Senator Nehal Hashmi was released today, after being imprisoned for a month in ‘Contempt of Court’ case.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan awarded Nehal Hashmi one month jail imprisonment, 50,000 Rs fine and 5 years disqualification from parliamentary politics.

He was convicted fo hurling threats to apex court judges, who were hearing Panama Papers Case against the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

In a video speech which went viral, Nehal was seen threatening judges for the repercussions they had to face if they persisted Panama case against Nawaz.

On Wednesday, following his release Nehal Hashmi was welcomed by PML(N) supporters, workers who had gathered outside ‘Adiyala Jail’.

Talking to press Hashmi vowed to work for Democracy under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif.
