Newly designated Pakistan envoy to US Ali Jahangir Siddiqui appears before NAB

ISLAMABAD: Newly appointed Pakistan ambassador to United States Ali Jahangir Siddiqui appeared today before National Accountability Bureau, as the anti graft body had summoned him on 16th March pertaining to corruption reference.

According to NAB,  newly appointed envoy has been accused of causing losses worth Rs 40 billion to various financial and government institutions and will be investigated by  NAB officials during his appearance before NAB.


Ali  is serving PM Abbasi as a special assistant, advising the prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on economic and business matters.

In 2014, he was honored as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
