ZAFARWAL: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz said on Wednesday Niazi will be dropped home after resignation, taking a jibe at the Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Speaking to a gathering of party workers in Zafarwala, the PML-N VP alleged that the 2018 elections were won by her father Nawaz Sharif which, she further alleged, was stolen by the incumbent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.
Maryam said the country was progressing during the tenure of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and the terrorism was being eradicated from the country during the tenure as well. She said all of a sudden the progressing country rapidly fell downwards and the new federal budget wreaked havoc on the public.
Maryam said no strata is living peacefully nowadays as the living necessities have become expensive and those who took money from others’ pockets will never know how a common man spends his life, in another jibe at the government.
Talking about the recent arrest of PML-N leader Hamza Shehbaz, Maryam said the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) only sees Hamza, Shehbaz Sharif, Shahid Khaqan Abassi and Khwaja Saad Rafique while the bureau keeps a blind eye on the government officials.
Maryam, called PM Khan “incompetent” once again, adding that he used to say there is one law for poor and another for rich when Nawaz Sharif was premier, for which the law and order and constitution was trampled.
Maryam said the Election Commission of Pakistan has had applications filed against PM Khan for several years while ECP listens to applications against others quickly. Maryam dubbed PM Khan an outlaw who would go to ECP filing applications against elected premier Nawaz, and nobody dared laying hands on the outlaw.
