KARACHI: Sindh Information Advisor Moula Bakhsh Chandio has on Wednesday said that the Rangers’ powers have not been reduced. He said that all the powers under National Action Plan (NAP) are still with the Rangers.
In a statement issued today, Chandio said that the resolution passed today does not withdraw any powers.
He said that Rangers still have all the powers agreed upon under NAP. He said that the institutions will continue to work in their spheres under the constitution.
“Are angels ruling the other provinces? Why are there no Rangers in those provinces?” questioned Chandio. He said that the government had faith in Rangers before and still believes in them. “We never distrusted any action taken by Rangers of police”, said the provincial information advisor.
