Opposition cannot demand answers on Panama Leaks: PM Sharif

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday denounced opposition parties for what he described as negative politics regarding Panama Leaks.

Speaking to media persons aboard the plane, Prime Minister Sharif said that opposition parties have resorted to negative politics, which had proved poisonous for the country in the past.

“It is our desire that Chief Justice set up a commission to investigate the Panama Leaks,” he said, adding that he would respond to all the allegations in the commission.

“Opposition cannot demand any answers from me nor any politician should try to become the commission himself,” he said.

The prime minister said that Nawaz Sharif was the prime target of opposition on the Panama Leaks issue.

Meanwhile, opposition parties continued their boycott of the National Assembly and reiterated their demand for Prime Minister Sharif to attend the session and respond to seven questions on the Panama Leaks.
