Opposition outnumbers government in SA session

KARACHI: A dramatic situation was witnessed in Sindh Assembly, where opposition gained strength as a small number of government representatives were present in today’s session.

The opposition outnumbered the government on Friday’s session as only 25 representatives of the ruling Pakistan People’s Party were present in the House as compared to opposition members who were 31 in number.

The Sindh Assembly speaker Agha Siraj Durrani adjourned the session immediately after its start when opposition parties began protest against resolutions tabled by the provincial government for legislation.

The next session is now scheduled for December 22.
