Pakistan Army establishes free medical camp in Tharparkar

THARPARKAR: Pakistan Army on Monday established a three-day free medical camp in Tharparkar, ISPR reported.


According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Army doctors and paramedics provided essential medical treatment to over 1,700 patients during the medical camp. The team of doctors included physicians, ENT specialists, dental surgeons and gynecologists.

Every year 1,500 children die due to malnutrition, infections and lack of proper medical facilities in the remote region says health department Sindh.

A report released by the United Nations Children Fund in April stated that Pakistan is among countries with the highest infant mortality rates, with 22 infants dying before turning one month old.
