KARACHI: Pakistan Navy on Tuesday successfully tested Fast Attack Craft missile from North Arabian Ocean to land according to a Navy official statement.
The inherently built craft missile has anti-ship and land attack capability, said the press release.
The missile hit its target accurately in an remarkable display of Live Weapon Firing.
The press release stated, “the successful Live Weapon Firing has once again demonstrated the credible fire power of Pakistan Navy and the impeccable level of indigenisation in high-tech weaponry achieved by Pakistan’s defence industry. This is a clear manifestation of the government’s resolve to achieve self-reliance in this field.”
Chief of Naval Staff Vice-Admiral Kaleem Shaukat observed the missile from onboard a Navy ship and showed satisfaction on the operational preparations of the Navy fleet.
Speaking at the test firing event, Vice Chief of Naval Staff applauded the efforts of the officials involved in accomplishing the objective successfully.
The Naval Vice Chief highlighted the need to get the most out of inherently built defence capabilities. He also reiterated the determination of Pakistan Navy to ensure seaward defence and protect national nautical interests come what may.
He also appreciated the efforts of Navy researchers and engineers in making the assignment a reality.
