Pakistan wants peace in Afghanistan: Sartaj


ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has said Pakistan wants peace in Afghanistan, which can only be restored through a reconciliation process.


Talking to media in Islamabad on Monday evening, he said it is necessary that the Afghan Government and the Afghan Taliban should agree to resume the reconciliation process.

The Adviser said the United States also supports the reconciliation process. To a question, he said the international community has acknowledged Pakistan’s nuclear command and control system. Sartaj Aziz said we know better that which weapon is necessary for country’s defence.
