Pano Aqil, Sukkur: Ten members of the same family, including six women and four children, were stabbed to death in Sukkur’s Panu Aqil Tehsil on Wednesday, police confirmed.
According to Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Sukkur Irfan Sammo, the suspect — who is the head of the family — has been arrested.
Police confirmed that the man slaughtered the women and children with a knife.
Sukkur police have shifted bodies of all the deceased to the hospital for postmortem.
CM Sindh takes notice of the incident
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has taken notice of the incident and sought a detailed report of the incident from Inspector General (IG) Police.
“What is the cause of the incident? Is it due to family issues or animosity,” CM Murad inquired.
He also directed authorities to look into every aspect of the incident during the investigation and ordered police officials to extend full cooperation to the victims’ family.
The minister was informed that the accused has been arrested.
