PESHAWAR: Peshawar traffic police on Monday launched a crackdown against people wearing helmets that contain a black visor.
Vehicles having tinted glass are already banned in the metropolis but now the police has also declared black visors as a security risk.
Traffic police official on University Road issued challans to dozens of people for wearing helmets having a black visor.
The motorcyclists were irked by this step of the traffic police.
Traffic police authorities said that crackdown against black visor helmets have been initiated in view of the increasing terror activities.
They explained that it gets difficult for the police to identify person behind the black visor that whether he is an elder, youngster or foreigner.
Moreover, the authorities stated that the campaign will continue to aware the people regarding the issue.
