PM Imran advises nation to stop glorifying money launderers

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan on Wednesday advised nation to stop praising ‘money launderers allegedly involved in embezzlement and corruption.

The tweet from his official account came following the last night high powered speech where he announced to constitute commission to probe alleged corruption corruption of PPP and PMLN.

“The money launderers are treated special. They should be treated as criminals,” asserted PM.

PM said ever since he came to power, he is being asked where is “Naya Pakistan” as the state of Medina was not built in a day. PM said “Naya Pakistan” is an act which will he fulfill.

PM, referencing the recent arrests made by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Asif Ali Zardari and Hamza Shahbaz, said nobody would have imagined these “big towers” will be in jail, and said he did not make cases on the opposition leaders.

PM said the NAB is not under him and the judiciary is independent, this is domination of law and order which is evident now.

PM said democracy only works when there are two different ideologies in the parliament as there is consensus in the parliament after debates.

PM said from the very first-day opposition is not letting him speak in the assembly, I will not be blackmailed by them. PM said PPP and PML-N did corruption recklessly and the debt imposed on the country after 2008 was doing of these two parties.
