KARACHI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday visited newly-appointed Sindh Governor Justice Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui at a private hospital.
Siddiqui was admitted to the hospital on Nov 13 after he complained of difficulty in breathing. According to a Governor House spokesperson, Siddiqui was suffering from chest infection and breathing problems.
The governor’s condition was said to be out of danger but the doctors decided to keep him under observation for a day in the Intensive Care Unit.
Siddiqui was sworn in as the 31st governor of Sindh on Nov 11, days after the federal government decided to end the 14-year tenure of former Sindh governor Ishratul Ibad in a meeting held between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President Mamnoon Hussain at the Presidency.
