PM Nawaz not involved in wrongdoings: Rasheed

LAHORE: Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed stated on Sunday that those who bare the expenses of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s politics are the ones who evade taxes and make their earnings through illegal means.

While addressing a press conference in the Lahore Press Club, he said that at first the PTI chief demanded a judicial commission to probe in the Panama Leaks adding that Imran Khan himself stated the he should be the first one to be accounted, “but now, since we made the commission out of courage, he (Imran Khan) changed his stance” he said.

He added that the Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has been accounted thrice and it has been proven that he is not involved in any wrongdoings. “Imran will have to pass the sieve of accountability for the first time”, he said.

Information Minister said that those who have straws in their beards are afraid of the formation of the commission and are now running away from the accountability, that constitutes the Prime Minister’s moral victory. He said that Imran cannot even pay his Bani Gala residence bill with his earnings.

Referring towards Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Aitzaz Ahsan, he inquired “if Nawaz Sharif was not honest then why invite him to lead the country in the first place?”
