PML-N Sangla Hill, PTI, MQM-P Karachi while PPP to hold rally in Rawalpindi today

Web Desk:  As General elections are near, mainstream political parties have apparently stepped up their pre-election campaign as leading political parties will hold rallies in different parts of the country on Sunday to show off their public strength.


Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will hold a power show today in Sangla Hill where party supremo Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam will address party workers.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan is due to arrive in Karachi today on a two-day visit for party membership campaign.

According to a schedule ,Khan will arrive in the city at around 12pm. He will visit an eye hospital in Clifton and address ‘Meet the Press’ at Karachi Press Club at around 2pm.

Khan will later visit the party camps in different areas, including Malir, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Landhi, Maripur, Banaras, North Karachi and Gulshan-e-Iqbal from 4pm till late night.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will also address a rally in Rawalpindi’s Kotli Sattian area.

On the other hand, the splinter groups of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) will separately celebrate the party’s founding day in Karachi.

Dr Farooq Sattar led MQM-P’s PIB Colony will hold a gathering at Liaquatabad Flyover in the metropolis, while the Bahadurabad faction has finalized the arrangements for the event at Nishtar Park.
