PML-N slams Imran over women harassment case in PTI rally

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) female leaders on Monday lambasted Imran Khan over harassment to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s women supporters in Sunday’s rally.

While addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Monday, State Minister Anusha Rahman stated that women belonging to all parties are participating in the political process, adding that Imran Khan introduced the ‘dance’ culture in politics.

“Women were mistreated in PTI’s rally held yesterday. If Imran Khan cannot provide protection to them (women), then he should not invite them to rallies”, Rahman stated.

Anusha said that everyone is saddened over the behaviour carried out with the daughters of the country, adding that the females of Pakistan should not be used as showpieces.

Rahman added that Imran Khan should be ashamed that while the female participants of his rally were being subjected to such a bad behaviour, he left the rally through the Very Important Personalities (VIP) gate.

“Imran Khan needs to wake up from his sleep. Even enemies do not get to face such behaviour which the women in his rally have to face”, Anusha slamed PTI Chairman.

Member of National Assembly Marriyum Aurangzeb stated that the country is becoming prosperous under the leadership of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, adding that the PM’s rally in Mansehra was not political in nature but served as the foundation-stone for various developmental projects. She said that those who utilise the money of widows and land mafia for their own cause cannot win elections.
