PESHAWAR: MNA Siraj Muhammad Khan bids farewell to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and joined ruling party Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) on Wednesday, Newsone reported.
Siraj Ahmed made decision during a meeting with PML-N president and Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif at the residence of Amir Muqam in Peshawar.
Defections between the parties continues ahead of General elections 2018.
Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif welcomed Siraj Ahmed in PML-N stating that his inclusion in the party will strengthen PML-N more.
Siraj Khan was elected to the National Assembly from the NA-6 Nowshera-II constituency in the 2013 general elections.
KP Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Muqam, Sardar Mehtab Abbasi and other party leaders were present during the meeting.
Earlier, addressing party senior provincial leaders, including Amir Muqam and Murtaza Javed Abbasi at the event, being held on Shami Road, Shehbaz took a jibe on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan’s slogan for the change saying that nothing has changed.
” While coming to Peshawar I thought that KPK would have been changed but despite all the claims made by Imran Niazi nothing changed in KP”, he added.
