PM’s health improving after surgery: Hussain Nawaz

LONDON: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who underwent a cardiac-surgery in London on Tuesday, was still in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Thursday, but his health was improving, said Hussain Nawaz.

“After 48 hours of the surgery of Prime Minister Sharif, his doctors and surgeons were very happy over the progress and recovery,” Hussain said while talking to reporters.

To a question, he said, doctors will assess the situation of the premier on Friday.

“Today, the prime minister was also made to walk a little bit by his doctors in the ICU,” he added.

To another question, Hussain Nawaz said, he and other family members also met the Prime Minister and had brief conversation. He thanked the nation for their health wishes and prayers for the prime minister.
