PPP unveils its manifesto for General Election 2018

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto on Thursday has unveiled party’s manifesto for upcoming general elections 2018.

“Peaceful and prosper Pakistan was dream of Benazir Bhutto, BB wanted to make strong and united Pakistan,” said Bilawal while addressing an event in Islamabad.

Bilawal vows to make parliament supreme, adding that PPP has always raised voice against violence. “PPP is against everyone who berates Parliament,” said Bilawal.

Bilawal Bhutto said that PPP wile make democracy strengthen and it is included in the manifesto of party, adding that his party will start “Bhook Mitao” drive to eradicate hunger program.

He said that PPP will give subsidy to farmers in order to make the economy more violable.

“The current economic situation is unstable, intolerable and unsustainable” he added.

“The process of reforms in democracy never stops. It’s a continuous process,” he said. “We have to free Pakistan from the fear of poverty, ” the chairman added.

The PPP has named its manifesto, ‘BB ka Waada Nibhaana Hai Pakistan Bachana Hai (We have to fulfill Benazir’s promise by saving Pakistan).

Earlier, speaking in the event former president Asif Ali Zardari said that PPP have done political as well as developmental work during their tenure.

This is the 10th manifesto by the PPP during the last five decades. PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had unveiled the party’s first manifesto for General Election 1970.
