PTI all set to flex muscle in Lahore on Sunday


LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is all set to hold a rally at Charing Cross in Lahore on Sunday (May 1) to increase pressure on the government in regards to the Panama Leaks investigation.


The stage will be set in front of the Punjab Assembly building whereas Mall Road has been decorated with party flags whereas party banners have been erected at Allama Iqbal Road, Davis Road and Canal Road.

Sound system has been installed and to ensure uninterrupted power supply throughout the rally, electric generators have also been installed. The rally is expected to kick start at around 5pm. PTI Chairman Imran Khan and other important party leaders will address the participants of the rally.

Five access paths have been made to enter into the main area where the rally is going to be organised. Very Important Personalities (VIPs) will enter from the Lahore Zoo area whereas female participants will enter into the rally from the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) building area.

Nine thousand policemen have been deployed to provide security to the rally. The participants will be allowed to enter into the rally area after passing through walk-through gates and being scanned with metal detectors.
