ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Wednesday informed the Chinese ambassador to Pakistan about Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s reservations over western route and said that the CPEC would not only open the doors of development for backward areas but also fate of territory will be changed.
Addressing a press conference along with Chinese Ambassador, the PTI chief said that China has no objection over Western route of the CPEC. He said that he invited the Chinese investors to invest in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Khan added that Chinese companies have started several projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
To a question about doctors strike in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Imran said that the government is only implementing the orders of the Peshawar High court.
PTI chairman said that health reforms in KP were geared towards improvement in public hospitals where majority of poor patients come for treatment.
Imran added, “ our objective is to reform the healthcare system in KP and we are determined. We’ll make them comparable to private hospitals.”
On arrest warrant, he said, “I didn’t know peaceful protest is a crime, could be the case under monarchy but not in democracy.”
