ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PT) has dismissed the name of Zaka Ashraf as the care taker Prime Minister suggested by Pakistan People’s Party(PPP) to the incumbent Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
Responding to the reports of possible candidate for the slot of care taker premier, except Zaka Ashraf who was the former chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB), the PTI’s spokesman Fawwad Chaudhry today did not point any concerns on other names circulating in media.
Furthermore, Pakistan Tehreek–e-Insaf suggested the name of former Chief Justice Justice(R) Tasadduq Jilani, and famous economist Dr. Ishrat Hussain for interim PM slot, claimed Fawad in a press conference.
He also expressed satisfaction on the former ambassador Jaleel Abbasi Jilani’s name.
According to sources name of a care taker Prime Minister has been finalized, however the final announcement will be made on Tuesday.
Sources privy to development has confided that both incumbent Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, and opposition leader in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah has agreed upon the name, as now consultation for the formation of interim cabinet is pondered upon.
Both the ruling Pakistan Muslim League(Nawaz) and Pakistan People’s Party are not disclosing the name of a possible care taker premier yet, however few names of possible care taker PM are circulating on the media.
Moreover, it can’t be ruled out that the premier can be from a smaller province or a prominent female personality, sources confided.
